Bad Breath & Halitosis
I brush my teeth all the time and use a mouthwash – how do I still have bad breath?
One of the most common causes of bad breath or Halitosis is due to the existence of bacteria in our mouth. Even if you brush and floss teeth daily, food particles can remain in your mouth, promoting bacterial growth between teeth, around the gums, and on the tongue. This causes bad breath.
Everyone has bacteria in their mouths that cause malodour - but in some people, they are in much higher concentrations so their breath can be detected by other people.
Brushing teeth and using anti-bacterial mouthwash will eliminate some of the bacteria and mask the odour for a short time but for halitosis, a more thorough approach is required.
The BLIS FreshBreath Kit is a treatment protocol that includes scraping the tongue to get rid of as much residue as possible, an effective anti-bacterial mouthwash to get rid of the bad bacteria and BLIS K12™ lozenges to re-populate the mouth with good bacteria. This is the vital step – BLIS K12™ works to not only crowd out the bad smelly bacteria, but it produces bacteriocins to stop them from coming back – think of it like a forcefield in your mouth.
