What causes bad breath?
There are several factors that contribute to bad breath including poor oral hygiene, metabolic disorders and diet, however, 90% of the malodour is a result of microbial metabolism and imbalance of normal microflora of the oral cavity*. Odorous bacteria feed upon food particles and proteins in the mouth. During the metabolism of these proteins, bacteria produce malodorous by-products known as Volatile Sulphur Compounds (VSCs) that give bad breath its smell*.
How can you alleviate bad breath symptoms with BLIS K12™?
Typically, sufferer’s attempt to “mask” the odour with cosmetic products such as mouth rinses, gums and sprays. While there are various treatments that will reduce malodorous bacteria in short-term, their numbers will soon return to previous levels without solving the actual issue*.
Studies have identified that halitosis sufferers can naturally have lower numbers of certain beneficial bacteria such as Streptococcus salivarius*. Therefore, reintroducing these bacteria can help address the root cause of bad breath*. What is BLIS K12™?
BLIS K12™ is a new generation of advanced oral probiotics, developed from a specific strain of beneficial bacteria called Streptococcus salivarius that is found to occur naturally in the Oral cavity of healthy adults and children.
How does BLIS K12™ work?
BLIS K12™ works by helping improve the ratio of good to bad bacteria*. BLIS K12™ colonises in the mouth and throat (where it is naturally found in healthy humans) and promotes a beneficial balance of good bacteria*.

Suggested Use
Use only as directed. If pregnant, lactating, on prescription medication or if you have an immune-compromised condition, seek your Physician’s advice before use. Never use the Mouthwash Activator or the Mouthwash Concentrate on its own. See your healthcare or dental professional if bad breath symptoms persist.
For best results, we recommend four weeks continuous and uninterrupted use of the FreshBreath Kit.
Directions for Use:
Easy to follow instructions for your 4-week programme can be found inside the box.
Day 1:
- Prepare the mouthwash according to instructions
- Brush teeth and floss as usual.
- Clean tongue with scraper provided.
- Rinse mouth with prepared mouthwash. Expel. Do not swallow.
- Slowly dissolve 1 BLIS K12™ lozenge on your tongue before swallowing, immediately after mouthwash.
- Wait two hours. Take a further three BLIS K12™ lozenges, one at a time at two-hour intervals.
Day 2-7:
- Each morning brush and floss teeth, clean your tongue.
- Dissolve one lozenge in your mouth before swallowing.
- Each evening brush and floss your teeth.
REPEAT EVERY WEEK FOR 4 WEEKS.
Suitable for adults only. Keep out of reach of children.
Do not exceed four lozenges per day. Maximum recommended use of mouthwash is once per week.
No refrigeration needed. Store in a cool (<77°F), dry place and out of sunlight.
